Dance Recital 2012

Bella had her first dance recital last weekend so I thought I would share some pics because she was so darn cute.  The first picture shows her getting ready...she loved the curlers.  In the second picture she is holding her first medal. Wow was she proud...but not as proud as Ricky and I. The best part of her recital was watching her dance on stage so independent and with absolutely no fear. When she was finished the first thing she said to me was..."can I dance on stage again?" So awesome! I swear she has not stopped dancing this whole week. The worst part about the recital, Bella suddenly had this CRAZY idea that she didn't need to hold my hand when her friends were around. Okay, it may seem like nothing but it is a very big something. She is three. I deserve a few more years before she is too cool for me.  Ugh…she is growing way too quickly.

Bella loved this trampoline.  She has no fear...she went so high I could barely watch.  She wanted to go again.  She is my little daredevil.

Strawberry Pickin' Time

Strawberry picking has never been my favorite activity...but I have always gone with with my mom because it is a "tradition" (so she says).  This year being almost 8 months pregnant I REALLY was not looking forward to it.  However, it is a "tradition" so I thought I better take the girls and let it carry on. 

8 months pregnant and bending over to pick strawberries, 2 kids, a cool morning and a patient Mom/Grandma = a rather perfect day.  As a mom myself I now am suddenly sounding more like my own mother and realizing most of the stuff she made me do that I complained about....was actually worth the amazing memories.  Watching Bella and Gracie "pick" (eat) fresh strawberries from the field was awesome.  They loved it.  I must admit...if they ever complain I probably will make them come with me too!  You were right mom....thanks for the amazing day!

slip and slide fun

Love these pictures...Bella learning how to use the slip and slide.  We have not quite mastered the slide concept....she just runs.  Still, she has so much fun.  I love being able to let the kids just run free and enjoy summertime.
