It's a...

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday and we are very excited to announce baby Schreier is a boy!  It is the 3rd time around and I still get butterflies every time I see the heartbeat and watch a little baby moving and kicking inside me.  The feeling is unbelievable.  Big sister Bella is thrilled.  She has been insisting it was a boy since the start so she was jumping for joy when she found out she was going to have a little brother.  Gracie doesn't fully understand what is going on, but she does touch my belly and sing..."baaaaaaaby".  We are halfway there and cannot wait to meet our new little boy in August!  I attached an ultrasound picture.  Whenever I look at ultrasound pictures...I never really know what I am looking at, but here you can make out his face.

This was our first time getting a 3D ultrasound.

Happy 3rd Birthday Bella Boo

On March 15th my little baby turned 3.  This birthday has been the hardest for me, and the best for Bella.  Suddenly Bella MUST do everything by herself.  Dressing she has made clear is her job, "she is a big girl", reaching everything by herself is her job, taking care of her baby sister is her job.  You would think because in a few short months we will be having a new baby to take care of, I would really welcome this independence...but I am a little sad.  My "baby" is no longer a baby, although she will always be my baby, she is now an independent preschooler.  Time flies too fast.

Gracie was so upset with her sister.  Bella wouldn't let her play with her purse.  You can see by the end of the video Gracie finds the purse and gets it after all.

Girls will be Girls

Even at 2 1/2 and 16 months these girls LOVE to play dress up.

Spring is here...and we are loving it!

You know you're a mom when...

• Spend Friday night at the Community Center for the annual Bunny Hop Carnival battling through what seems like a million kids...who all seem to have snot coming out of their noses.
• Spend Saturday morning arguing with a two-year-old about wearing a summer hat and sandals when it is snowing...and layering shirts and pants so she can wear her favorite sleeveless sundress.
• Spend late Saturday morning cleaning a toddlers poop from a play chair because she is learning to use the potty.
• Spend Saturday afternoon searching for a new car....a car you would never thought you would own, a mini van to fit an expanding family.
• Spend dinner at McDonald's playland, because it has just been too cold to take the kids outside and they need to run off some energy.
• End the night playing three games of Hi-Ho Cherry-O, two games of Princess Memory and one game of Chutes and Ladders.
• Spend an hour with your hands on your belly waiting for a little kick from within (felt the baby for the first time this week)
• Spend Sunday wiping the noses of your own kids, because they obviously caught a cold from one of the million snot nosed kids at the carnival!
• Spend Sunday afternoon thanking your spouse and God for an amazing weekend with your family!

Wouldn't change one second of this weekend for anything in the world!  I love you Ricky, Bella and Gracie
