You know you're a mom when...

  • Spend Friday night at the Community Center for the annual Bunny Hop Carnival battling through what seems like a million kids...who all seem to have snot coming out of their noses.
  • Spend Saturday morning arguing with a two-year-old about wearing a summer hat and sandals when it is snowing...and layering shirts and pants so she can wear her favorite sleeveless sundress.
  • Spend late Saturday morning cleaning a toddlers poop from a play chair because she is learning to use the potty.
  • Spend Saturday afternoon searching for a new car....a car you would never thought you would own, a mini van to fit an expanding family.
  • Spend dinner at McDonald's playland, because it has just been too cold to take the kids outside and they need to run off some energy.
  • End the night playing three games of Hi-Ho Cherry-O, two games of Princess Memory and one game of Chutes and Ladders.
  • Spend an hour with your hands on your belly waiting for a little kick from within (felt the baby for the first time this week)
  • Spend Sunday wiping the noses of your own kids, because they obviously caught a cold from one of the million snot nosed kids at the carnival!
  • Spend Sunday afternoon thanking your spouse and God for an amazing weekend with your family!
Wouldn't change one second of this weekend for anything in the world!  I love you Ricky, Bella and Gracie

This "morning sickness" (which is actually a 24- hour a day / 7 day a week sickness) has been taking a lot out of me and I realized I have not posted on here in a long time.  Thank goodness for my Mom, Dad and Ricky who have been doing fun things with the girls and spending so much time with them.  I have to say it again I am SO lucky to have them during this pregnancy and always.  Anyway, here are a few new pics of the girls over the last few weeks!  I will try to post again soon.

Bella just had her first visit to the dentist.  She was so scared, but ended up doing great.  She asked me as we were leaving if she gets to "go back next week".  She was also so excited to tell EVERYONE (including the checkout lady at the store) that she had no cavities!

Our 2012 News

Some of you may have already heard the news (Grandma has a hard time keeping a secret), but yes it is true....baby makes 5!  We found out a little before Christmas that we were expecting again.  Baby Schreier is due August 17, 2012.  Ricky and I are very excited, but we will admit a little nervous to have a 3 year old a 1 year old and newborn all at once!  It will be a BUSY and wonderful time and we cannot wait to meet this little one.  Bella is excited she is going to be a big sister again, she wants another baby girl.  Gracie doesn't get it...so we will see how she likes it when the baby arrives.

I have been horribly sick so I am lucky to have Ricky and my parents helping me out daily.  I would be a mess without them.  I know the end result completely out weights this part...but I am ready to be done with the sickness.

Happy 2012!

Christmas fun

So far celebrating the Holiday Season with a 2 year old and a 1 year old has been such an amazing and fun experience.  To watch their excitement every time we pass ANY house with lights, see a Christmas tree, hear a Christmas song or bake Christmas cookies, has been so memorable.  I know I will never forget these precious moments.  Bella is anxiously awaiting Christmas Eve, moving the marker each day getting closer and closer to the 24th.  We of course have visited Santa, wrote him a letter and talked about what she would like, but this year she is more concerned with making sure we make chocolate chip cookies and buy milk for Santa, then she is about getting a gift.  She asked for a new pair of blue shoes, and she said, "that's all".  She is so pure, innocent and sweet.  She makes my heart melt everyday.  Gracie doesn't really "get" the whole Santa concept yet (expect for the fact she DID NOT want to sit on his lap.)  However, she loves the music.  We play Christmas music all day everyday at our house.  I love Christmas and I am so blessed to have these beautiful girls, Ricky and the rest of my amazing family.  So as we enjoy Christmas and the holiday season I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year I am especially grateful for an amazing husband, two healthy and incredibly sweet daughters and the rest of my wonderful family.  We enjoyed our Thanksgiving weekend having a few large family dinners, making gingerbread houses, and playing with cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles.  Ricky and I even had a date night attending a friends wedding, while the girls were with Grandma and Papa O'Neill at the Forslin's annual potato sausage making!

Winter is here

We realize it is only November 20th, but snow is here...our tree is up and we are ready for the holidays.  Gracie and Ricky put up our tree when Bella and I were at school.  Then Bella and I came home and put on the ornaments.  I will attach another picture of our tree soon.  We have what Papa Tim calls a "Gracie free zone" located at the bottom of our tree.  This means our tree looks beautiful with only ornaments on the upper half.  Very....unique.

***SNOW FUN***

Getting two little girls ready to go outside = 15 minutes
Amount of time actually spent outside = 10 minutes
So worth it.

Watching Gracie experience snow for the first time was so fun.  She has not mastered walking in it yet...but she has mastered eating as much as she can fit in her mouth.  Bella loved going on the sled and helping Ricky shovel.
